The correct answer is option D, cumulonimbus clouds

Reason -

Cumulonimbus clouds develops vertically and are referred to as unfair weather cumulus. They are formed when warm and moist air rises in the upward direction where it eventually cools and condenses into a Cumulonimbus clouds. As the condensation takes place, the air inside the cloud gets warmer than the air surrounding it. Due to this the air becomes unstable and the cloud keeps on growing vertically. As the cloud precipitates it bring hail, thunder storm and lightning.
