what are the fewest number of coins needed to make 37% of a dollar?

we know that

37%=37/100=0.37

that means

that 37% of a dollar is equal to 37 cents

if the coins are penny, dimes, nickels and quarter

we have

quarter ($0.25) --------> 1

remain 0.37-0.25=0.12

dimes ($0.10) ---------> 1

remain

0.12=0.10=0.02

penny ($0.01)-------> 2

therefore

he fewest number of coins needed is (1+1+2)=4

answer is 4 coins
