To find the equation of the line the first step we have to follow is to find the slope of the line. To do it we have to use the x and y coordinates of one pair of points on the line in the following formula:

m=(y2-y1)/(x2-x1)

Use the coordinates of the points (-1,0) and (0,-4):

m=(-4-0)/(0-(-1))=(-4)/(1)=-4

The slope of the line is -4.

According to the given graph the y intercept is located at y=-4.

It means that the value of m is -4 and the value of b is -4 too. Replace these values in the general intercept form of the equation to find the equation of the line:

y=-4x-4

It means that the correct answer is y=-4x-4.
