The type of convergent plate movement depicted in the image is C. Oceanic-Continental Convergence. As the oceanic plate is denser, it goes beneath the continental plate, a process called subduction, the entire region where this happens is called subduction zone. The subducting plate causes melting in the mantle above and consequently volcanoes.
