5x+1.5=7
-1.5 -1.5
--------------
5x = 5.5
---- ------
5 5
x = 1.1
subtract 1.5 from both sides, then with that answer, you divide it by 5.
x = 1.1

First thing we are going to do to solve this is to subtract 1.5 from both sides so:
5x+1.5−
1.5
=
7−
1.5
5x
=5.5
Next we are going to di
vide from both sides by 5 so:
5x/
5
=
5.5/
5
Finally your final answer shall be:
x=1.1
