Using the rate for each of them and the time walking to calculate the distance they each walked.

\begin{gathered} Zach=2.83(mi)/(h)\cdot(1.5h) \\ Zach=4.245mi \end{gathered}
\begin{gathered} Nora=2.18(mi)/(h)\cdot(1.5h) \\ Nora=3.27mi \end{gathered}

find the difference between the distance of both

\begin{gathered} 4.245-3.27 \\ 0.975mi \end{gathered}

Zack walked 0.975mi farther than Nora.
