(a^(12)b^(8))/(a^(2)b^(4))

remember
(ab)/(cd)=a/c times b/d

also
(x^(m))/(x^(n))= x^(m-n)

split it up with like terms

(a^(12))/(a^(2)) times
(b^(8))/(b^(4))

do subtraction
for a's
12-2=10

b's
8-4=4

answe is
a^(10)b^(4)

first one
