Hey there, subtract 5/8n from both sides, 7/8n-3-5/8n+12-5/8n=1/4n-3=12, add 3 to both sides, 1/4n-3+3=12+3=1/4n=15, multiply both sides by 4, 4*1/4n=4*15, 4*15=60. So, n=60

7/8n - 3 = 5/8n + 12
(7n)/8 - 3 = (5n)/8 + 12
7n - 24 = 5n + 96
7n = 5n + 96 + 24
7n = 5n + 120
7n - 5n = 120
2n = 120
n = 120/2
n = 60
The answer is:
n = 60
