Wordsworth's early work is considered as typical of the Romantic era. Majority of his earlier work was one of the main influences and/or foundations of the Romantic movement. However, toward the second half of his life after foreseeing tragedies and accepting the toll that time takes upon man with age, he became more skeptical of his earlier beliefs. This resulted in his later works not being typical of the Romantic era because he had become disillusioned with his former values.

Hope this helps! If you have any other questions or would like further explanation just let me know! :)
