h(t) = -16t² + 144
When will the object hit the ground? This means that the height will equal to 0.
h(t) = 0
0 = -16t² + 144
16t² = 144
t² = 144/16
t² = 9
√t² = √9
t = 3
The object will hit the ground after 3 seconds.
