To find the ratio of 270 miles in 6 hours, what you are essentially looking for is the average speed, which is the distance traveled divided by the time it took to travel that distance.

To calculate this, you follow these simple steps:

1. Identify the total distance traveled. In this case, it is 270 miles.
2. Identify the total time taken to travel the distance. In this case, it is 6 hours.
3. Divide the total distance by the total time to find the average speed (ratio).

So, the calculation is:

Average Speed (ratio) = Distance / Time
Average Speed (ratio) = 270 miles / 6 hours
Average Speed (ratio) = 45 miles per hour

Therefore, the ratio of 270 miles in 6 hours is 45 miles per hour. This means that, on average, 45 miles were covered in each hour of the 6-hour period.

I depends if it is asking for miles to hours or hours to miles but, doing i would do hours to miles so it would be 270:6 which simplifies to 45:1
