At the zoo, the yellow birds are fed 1/3 of a bag of seed each day. The blue birds get fed 1/4 as much as the yellow birds. How much of a bag of seed do the blue birds eat each day?

Answer:

1/12

Explanation:

You have to multiply the two fractions to get to 1/12.

1x1=1

3x4=12

Then you put it in a fraction

Hope this helps!

The blue birds get 1/4 as much so they get 1/4 of the food. 1/4 of 1/3 is 0.083. That is 8/100 which simplifies down too 2/25.they eat 2/25 of a packet each day.
