Scientists discovered a large star 113,000 light years from Earth. A light year is about 5,880,000,000,000 miles.

What is the distance of the large star from Earth in scientific notation?

Scientific Notation can be kind of difficult I struggled with it. I think you need to find the scientific notation for 1.13 x 10^4(the first number given) and 5.88 x 10^12( the distance of the light year)Then multiply 1.13 x 5.88 and 10^4 x 10^12 then you will get 1e16
