The fuel tank in Mr. Swenson’s car holds 16.5 gallons of fuel.

The car consumes 1 gallon of fuel for each 24.3 miles driven.
Mr. Swenson started a trip of 250 miles with a full tank of fuel.
Abouthow much fuel remained at the end of the trip?

Given:
Fuel tank : 16.5 gallons of fuel
1 gallon = 24.3 miles
250 miles traveled

250 miles / 24.3 miles = 10.29
10.29 * 1 gallon = 10.29 gallons

16.5 gallons - 10.29 gallons = 6.21 gallons of fuel remaining.

16.5 gallons * 24.3 miles = 400.95 miles
400.95 miles - 250 miles = 150.95 miles
150.95 miles / 24.3 miles = 6.21 gallons of fuel remaining
