2x = x^2 - 3
2x - x^2 + 3 = 0
x^2 - 2x - 3 = 0
(x - 3)(x + 1) = 0
x = 3, -1

The answer is: x = 3 and x = -1.

x = -1, x = 3
Sooooo, 2 x -1 = -1^2-3
which means, -2 = 1 - 3 which is -2 = -2
Then we also have 2 x 3 = 3^2 - 3
which means, 6 = 9 - 3 which is 6 = 6
So x = -1 and x = 3
