A combination of utilizing the river for transport and fertile soil, as well as consistent irrigation of the land meant that food grew more easily and more often

There is evidence of early advanced systems of irrigation in Egyptian society. Advanced irrigation and the fertile lands around it in the times of Ancient Egypt allowed for Egypts agriculture to develop rapidly leading to the immense power and development of Ancient Egyptian society. Also the river served as an easy method of transportation of goods and food which further led to their development.
