Given:
4 1/7 * 3 3/5
4 1/7 = (4*7)+1/7 = 29/7
3 3/5 = (3*5)+3/5 = 18/5
29/7 * 18/5 = 29 * 18 / 7 * 5 = 522 / 35 = 14.91
Simplified expression.
4 x 3 1/2
3 1/2 = (3*2)+1/2 = 7/2
4 * 7/2 = 4*7 / 2 = 28 / 2 = 14
It is a close estimate.
Actual: 14.91 vs Estimate: 14
