Knowing the points A(−5, 2), B(3, 4), C(−4, −3), and D(4, −1), and that segment AB parallel to segment CD, what is the length of segment AB and segment CD, and do points A, B, C, and D form a parallelogram?

A) AB=8 and CD=8; therefore, ABCD is a parallelogram
B) AB=2sqrt17 and CD=2sqrt17; therefore, ABCD is a paralleogram
C) AB=4sqrt5 and CD=4sqrt5; therefore, ABCD is a parallelogram
D) AB = 2sqrt17 and CD=4sqrt5; therefore, ABCD is a parallelogram

I did a graph using the points given, based on what I drew, I choose Choice A.

AB = 8 and CD = 8 ; therefore, ABCD is a parallelogram.

Lines AB and CD are parallel, they both have the same measure which is 8. That is why they form a parallelogram.

Line AC and BD both equal 5.
