Passing on negative mutations. This is seen by Cheetahs having sperm with low fertility. This was caused by nearly all of them dying out, which reduced the gene pool and meant they had to inbreed to avoid extinction.

Inbreeding compresses the gene pool, making it more likle for a genetic abbheration to occur.
