When you must multiply non whole numbers, decimals are easier to manipulate in the sense that setting up a multiplication problem with decimals rather than fractions is much simpler and easier to calculate.

Answer:

Handling Money

Explanation:

Fractions are of the form
(a)/(b), where a and b are integers with b≠0. They, represents some part of the whole number.

Decimals are those fractions in which the denominators are powers of ten and numerators are the figures placed to the around the decimal point.

For e.g. 7.8 =
(78)/(10)

Now, there are many situations where using decimals are effective than using fractions.

For e.g. While handling money, decimals prove fruitful than fractions.

That is $2.45 is much easier to work with than $
(245)/(100) i.e. $
(49)/(20).
