Answer:

Slope - intercept form

y = (3)/(5) x - (26)/(5)

Explanation:

Step(i):-

Given that the point (2,-4) and slope
m = (3)/(5)

Equation of the straight line passing through the point (x₁, y₁) and slope 'm'

y - y₁ = m( x-x₁ )

y - (-4) =
(3)/(5)( x-2)

⇒ 5( y+4) = 3(x-2)

⇒ 5 y +20 = 3x -6

⇒ 3x - 5 y -6-20 =0

⇒ 3 x -5y -26=0

Step(ii):-

Slope - intercept form

5 y = 3x -26

y = (3)/(5) x - (26)/(5)
