Given:

Number of adults = 155

Number of children = 230

Amount made = 1285.50

Mrs. Ramirez paid 53.75 for 2 adult tickets and 3 children tickets.

Let's find the system of equations that can be used to find the cost of an adult ticket a.

Let "a" represent the cost of an adult ticket

Let "c" represent the cost of each child's ticket.

We have the system of equations:

155a + 230c = 1285.50 ...........................equation 1

2a + 3c = 53.75 ...................................equation 2

Equation 1 represents the number of tickets sold by the movie theater.

Equation 2 represents the tickets bought by Mrs. Ramirez.

Therefore, the system of equations that can be used to find the cost of an adult ticket is:

155a + 230c = 1285.50

2a + 3c = 53.75

ANSWER:

155a + 230c = 1285.50

2a + 3c = 53.75
