A political party platform comprises a set of principles or rules, according to which is supported by a political party. These principles are meant to gain the public interest and their support for in the form of votes about complicated topics or issues.
Every four years, a national convention is held by the political parties in order to nominate a presidential and vice presidential candidate. They also conduct meetings in order to give an approval to a party platform of issues, including the positions upon which the representatives will run.
