I'm assuming that the pitch of this roof is in fact its slope...

Slopes are basically tangents...

tan(x)=Opposite/Adjacent

-------

tan(x)=9/7

-------

This means that the answer is D), 9/7.

Answer:

D.
(9)/(7)

Explanation:

We have been given that the pitch of a roof that has a height of 9 ft and a horizontal run of 7.

We know that slope of a line represents the relation between rise over run. The run is the horizontal distance between to x-coordinates and rise is vertical distance between two y-coordinates.

\text{Slope}=\frac{\text{Rise}}{\text{Run}}

\text{Slope}=(9)/(7)

Therefore, the pitch of roof is
(9)/(7) and option D is the correct choice.
