Okay, so the three x right? It means 3*x=y+12. So 30-12 is? 18, 18/3 is 6, so: 12+3*6=30.

Answer:

x=6

Explanation:

We have the equation 12+3x=30, we need to calculate the value of x:

12+3x=30, subtract 12 in both sides

12+3x-12=30-12

3x=18, divide both sides in 3

(3x)/(3)=(18)/(3)

x=6

Now to see if this statement is true we have to replace in 12+3x=30 with x=6,

12+3x=30\\12+3.6=30\\12+18=30\\30=30

Then x=6 makes the sentence true.
