Given equations are

y - 2x = 6 ...(i)

y + 2x = 6 ...(ii)

Adding (i) and (ii) equations, we get

y - 2x + y +2x = 6+6

2 y = 12

y =6

Step(ii):-

substitute y =6 in equation (i). we get

y - 2x =6

6 - 2x =6

6-6 =2x

0 = 2 x

x = 0

The solution of the given two equations

( x, y) = (0,6)
