Simplify both sides of the equation

5/6 x +7= 12 -5/12 x

5/6 x +7= 12+ -5/12 x

5/6 x +7 = -5/12 x +12

Add 5/12x to both sides

5/6 x +7 + 5/12 x= -5/12 x +12+5/12 x

5/4 x +7 = 12

Subtract 7 from both sides

5/4 x +7-7 = 12-7

5/4 x = 5

Multiply both sides by 4/5

(4/5)*(5/4 x) = (4/5)*5

x= 4

I hope that's help !

5/6x + 7 = 12 - 5/12x

subtract 7 from each side

5/6x = 5 - 5/12x

add 5/12x to each side

5/12x + 5/6x = 5

Find common denominator

5/12x + 10/12x = 5

combine like terms

15/12x = 5

divide each side by 15/12 (multiply the reciprocal)

x = 5 × 12/15
x = 60/15
x = 4
