4/3 pages per 20min

2.5 hrs = 150 min

150min ÷ 20min = 7.5min × 4/3 pages = 30/3 = 10 pages for 2.5 hrs

Answer:

10 pages can he type in 2.5 hours

Explanation:

Unit rate defined as the rates are expressed as a quantity as 1 such as 3 meter per seconds or 2 miles per hour.

As per the statement:

Brian can type 1 1/3 pages every 20 minutes.

Number of page he type =
1(1)/(3) = (4)/(3)

then by definition of unit rate:

\text{Unit rate per minutes} = ((4)/(3) )/(20) =(4)/(3) \cdot (1)/(20)=(1)/(15) pages

Use conversion:

1 hour = 60 minutes.

Then;

\text{Unit rate per hour} = (1)/(15) \cdot 60 = 4 pages.

We have to how many pages can he type in 2.5 hours.

\text{Number of pages he type in 2,5 hours} = \text{Unit rate per hour} * 2.5

Substitute the given values we have;

\text{Number of pages he type in 2,5 hours} = 4 * 2.5 = 10

Therefore, 10 pages can he type in 2.5 hours
