8:4=2
2*3=6

So, if he ate 3/4 of the pie, we would divide 8 by 4 (8/4), which would come out to 2. If Ruben ate 3 of these, that would mean he ate 6 slices of the pie (3 • 2 = 6). My my, Ruben likes his pie!
