The circumference of the earth is approximately 25,000 miles at the equator. If you board a Boeing 747, the average cruise speed is 565 mph. Assuming you fly in a straight line, it would take approximately 44 hours to travel around the earth and get back to where you started. How many hours would it take you to travel 6,000,000 miles?

in this question, the distance around the earth is slighly irrelivant
distance=speed times time
distance=6,000,000
speed=565
time=x
6,000,000=565 times x
divide both sides by 565
10,619.46=x
times 10,619.46 hours
