1) Multiply both sides by 4: 3n - 72 = n - 16
2) Subtract n from both sides: 2n - 72 = -16
3) Add 72 to both sides: 2n = 56
n = 28.

(3)/(4n)-18^((4n)=(1)/(4n)-4^((4n)\\\\ 3-72n=1-16n\\\\ -72n+16n=1-3\\\\ -56n=-2 \\\\ \boxed{n=(-2)/(-56)=(1)/(28)}
