I believe that the correct answer is the option C. It is forbidden to tell a lie about a member of your community. it is the ninth commandment "Thou shalt not bear false witness against a neighbour.

It seems than the concept false witness might have been originated for only lying in a court of law. But today a broader conception is accepted and sees every form of lie prohibited by this commandment.
