x+ (x)/(7) +(x+ (x)/(7) )=60

Remove parentheses (a)= a

x+ (x)/(7) +x+ (x)/(7)

Group like terms:

x+ (x)/(7) +x+x

Add similar elements:

(x)/(7) + (x)/(7) =2 (x)/(7)

= 2 (x)/(7) +x+x

Add similar elements:

x+x = 2x

2 (x)/(7) +2x

Multiply
2 (x)/(7)

= (2x)/(7) +2x

(2x)/(7) +2x = 60

Multiply both sides by 7 :

(2x)/(7) *7+2x*7 = 60*7

16x = 420

x = 420 / 16

x = (105)/(4)

hope this helps!
