A lab technician has 680ml of solution of water and acid, 3% is acid how many millimeters  are acid? water?

can someone please explain step by step to solve this.

1% of 680 = 6.8ml
so 3% = 3 x 6.8 = 20.4ml

or

3% = 3/100
3/100 x 680 = 20.4ml
