The cost of the new car is $16,000.
Down payment amount is $2,400.
Amount still owed by Mr Mar is $13,600.

Ok 15% is 0.15 in decimal form so you multiply 0.15 by 16000$ and get 2,400$ (the down payment not amount owed) you then subtract 2,400$ from 16,000$ and get 13,600$ which is how much he still owes
