jaden gets 40 because if you add the ratio it equals 7. you've got to get the ratio to add to 140.

4:10=14
40:100=140

So, we need to divide the reward into 5 parts, then award 2 parts to Jaden and 3 parts to Cadence.
$140 / 5 = $28
Jaden gets 2 * 28 = $56
Cadence gets 3 * 28 = $84
$56 + $84 = $140
