The first serious work of the Romantic movement was a collection of poems called The Lyric Ballads.
Lyrical Ballads, with a Few Other Poems is a collection of poems written by William Wordsworth and Samuel Taylor Coleridge. This collection was first published in 1798 and are considered to be the beginning of the English Romantic movement in literature.
Most of the poems in the 1798 edition were written by Wordsworth, but Coleridge contributed with four poems to the collection.
