To do this, you must do 2 times 2 You get 4 Therefore there are 4 square inches of dirt in that hole! Hope this helped

-- There is no dirt in the hole. It was removed, in order to either
use the dirt for something, or to store something else in the hole.
-- The amount of dirt removed from the hole was
(4) times (the length of the hole, in feet)
cubic feet.
