5,250/5.25.168/5.25 31 Tom has scored 181 points so far this basketball season. He needs to score 207 points to tie the school record for most points scored in a season. Write, solve, and graph an inequality to show what is the least number of points Tom has to score to tie or beat the record.

The number of points he will score from this point onwards in this season is "x". The sum of these points with the ones he already scored must be greater or equal than the record score of the school, so the inequality is:

181+x\ge207

To solve the inequality we need to subtract 181 on both sides.

\begin{gathered} 181+x-181\ge207-181 \\ x\ge26 \end{gathered}

5,250/5.25.168/5.25 31 Tom has scored 181 points so far this basketball season. He-example-1
