The correct response is A.

Jerry loves tennis; he plays every day.

A semicolon separates two clauses that are bound together in a sentence. One of the clauses is 'Jerry loves tennis', whilst the other clause is 'he plays every day'. Rather than disconnecting the two ideas, a semicolon can be used to join them together.
