A tornado is formed from a cumulonimbus cloud when winds, moving in two opposite directions, come together to form a funnel over land. The air creates a funnel, which rapidly rotates and becomes a full-blown tornado. Tornadoes are extremely dangerous and move quickly, destroying things in their path.
