Viruses, although not considered to be alive, attack host cells and cause disease. The attack of a host cell is necessary for the virus to survive for all of the reasons listed EXCEPT one.

Since you provide no options, here are some reasons why viruses attack a host cells to survive :

- They cannot reproduce on their own, they need to take over a host cells and infect them, making it their own
- The moment the viruses enter our body, our antibodies will started the process to kill them, that's why they need to keep replicating themselves in order to survive
