On May 21, the opening price for a share of CrossTrain 908 Gyms was $ 15.04. At the end of the day the last price for a share was $ 9.78. What percent change is represented between the open and close prices?

$15.04 ---> 100%

$5.26 ---> x

change is $15.04 - $9.78 = $5.26

then

\begin{gathered} 15.04* x=5.26*100 \\ 15.04x=526 \\ (15.04x)/(15.04)=(526)/(15.04) \\ x=34.97 \end{gathered}

answer: 35%
