Ok

Hi

How are you too?

You want to find which two lines are perpendicular

You have t find the slope of each line then multiply the slopes of two of them if the answer is -1, then the two lines are perpendicular

So let us find the slope of each line

The slope of the line passes through points (-2, -2) and (2, -3)

m1=(-3--2)/(2--2)=(-3+2)/(2+2)=-(1)/(4)

The slope of the line passes through points (2, 1) and (3, 5)

m2=(5-1)/(3-2)=(4)/(1)=4

Now let us multiply their slopes

m1* m2=(-1)/(4)*4=-1

The product of their slopes is -1, then the two lines are perpendicular

Do you understand?

Yes multiply the slopes of the 2 lines, if the answer is -1, then they are perpendicular

If you want to find the slope of a perpendicular line from a slope of a given line whose slope is m,

reciprocal m and change its sign to be -1/m

Is that clear?

Great
