Sally surveyed parents in her community. She found that 3 out of every 5 parents vote in the school election. If 450 parents are eligible to vote, how many parents will likely vote in the election?

225 kids...
.
Wow.
.
2 to a parent, I assume...
.
Wow. Finite, but if you put em together... that's... a... colossal amount of kids.
.
Anyways, back to math.
.
Got distracted there.
.
Ok, so 3 out of every 5 parents.
.
450 in all.
.
We want to see how many groups of 5 parents there are!!
.
Divide 450 by 5.
.
90.
.
3 out of 5.
.
So, multiply 3 by 90!!
.
270.
.
You got it.
.
Hope this helps!!
.

3/5 =0.6 450 * 0.6 = 270 Or When you divide 450 by 5. 1/5 =90 2/5 = 180 3/5 = 270
