You want new picture frames that cost $12 each. Shipping is $8 per order. If you buy 15 frames, what is the cost of the order?

12*15+8 is your equation. 12*15=180 180+8=188 answer is 188 because all of them combined is one order.

Equations, equations, equations.
.
I mean, c'mon. Why equations?
.
Becuz we have to.
.
So.
.
Shipping is $8. Set value. Doesn't change!!
.
Our equation begins with $8.
.
One frame, $12.
.
Let x be amount of frames!
.
Thus we now have $8 + $12x.
.
Total?
.
Let y be amount in all.
.
$8 + $12x = y.
.
Plug in our value.
.
$8 + $12 x 15 = y.
.
What's 12 x 15?
.
You got it. 180.
.
180 + 8?
.
188.
.
You got it!! In all, 188 dollars.
.
Phew. Pretty expensive, huh?
.
Hope I helped!!
