A pitcher of water contains 8 ice cubes. Each ice cube lowers the water's temperature by 2 degrees, which can be expressed as (-2). If an ice cube is removed, the temperature is raised by -(-2). Consider 3 ice cubes being removed from the pitcher. The total rise in temperature is

A) -(-4)°, which is the same as 4°.
B) -(-2)°, which is the same as 2°.
C) -3(2)°, which is the same as -6°
D) -3(-2)°, which is the same as 6°.
