The excess nutrients in the body may also be detrimental to the health of an individual. That is why, we might have heard of some difficulty that is caused by excess nutrients. This may affect metabolism of the body and also may cause the gain of weight.

It is true. For example, excessive amounts of Ca may lead to formation of stones in the gallbladder. Another example is the effects of excessive vitamin D that may lead to diseases of the cardiovascular system or stones in kidneys. Overdose of omega 3 leads to blood thinning that may cause heavy bleeding.
