the ratio 3:4 can be written as 3/4

you will then be looking for three quarters of the origional price to get the sale price.

so: 3/4Ă—64=192/4
=$48

Let

x------> the sale price of a jacket

y-----> the original price of a jacket

we know that

(x)/(y) = (3)/(4) -------> equation
1

y=64 -------> equation
2

Substitute equation
2 in equation
1

(x)/(64) = (3)/(4)\\ \\ 4*x= 64*3\\ \\ x=(64*3)/(4)

x=48\ dollars

therefore

the answer is

the sale price of a jacket is
48\ dollars
