This, in a way, is a reflection of the country's historical settlement and demonstrates that the “march to the west” policies adopted in the 20th century were still insufficient to promote a complete interiorization of the population and investments in the geographical space of Brazil.

Brazil is more populated in some areas because there is a lot of forests and rivers. So when they do populate they tend to do it in a group.
